The difference between aluminum alloy wind cooled and water cooled quenching
Aluminum alloy from high temperature suddenly dropped to low temperature for quenching aluminum quenching both water cooled quenching, as well as air cooled quenching, they are a kind of heat treatment method.
The forming temperature of aluminum alloy extruded profiles is 460-500 degrees, and the temperature after quenching is generally required to be lower than 200 degrees. By hig themperature extrusion molding, the state of artificial aging after solid solution heat treatment quenching is T5, the state of artificial aging is T6 after cooling by high temperature extrusion molding process, and then the state of artificial aging is T6.
The T6 status can be either in line quenching water cooled or strong air cooled or offline quenching quenched with a quenching furnace, but it is determined according to the customers requirements and product specifications.
In actual production, no matter which production process is adopted, the key is to meet the mechanical strength requirements of the aluminum profile product.
The better the cooling effect, the better the hardness after aging, why there is a difference between T5 and T6, because the size of T5 air cooled products is not easy to deform, almost all doors and windows and other profiles will choose T5.
The T6 material is a profile with a relatively thin water-cooled thickness that will be deformed when it encounters water, especially things with openings are easily deformed when it encounters water.
The effect of the product after water is much better than the air cooling effect, 6063 T5 is between 10-13, and 6063 T6 can reach more than 13.
